The FIXE Chain Anchor was developed at the request of many customers. The unit is designed to be used in pairs or with another Top Anchor unit. When used with a Ring or Double Ring Anchor, an excellent Top Anchor is created. It is possible to extend the anchor point over obstructions using this anchor. In climbing gyms, these work exceptionally well as Top Anchors.
These chain anchors also work well in “through trip” caves, where the cavers pull down their rope after each rappel to take the rope with them. The large welded ring works excellent with both double rope & biner-block techniques. Using 2 sets of these chain anchors will provide a bomber anchor point allowing the setter to set bolts around & over obstructions, such as a ledge, which would otherwise be in the way of a perfect placement, allowing a clean rappel or lower off.
Anchor is rated for a 30kN load in concrete. Usage and strength in rock will depend on many factors including the placement, competence of the setter, & direction of pull to list a few.
