PMI Talon Nylon/Polyester Rope, 11mm

Talon is the best of both worlds for experienced rope users. With a 16 carrier nylon sheath over a polyester core, this rope combines the hand and higher friction that you’re accustomed to from PMI Classic nylon ropes with virtually no elongation.

 

PMI Polyester ropes are great for use by experienced technicians in applications where low stretch is required. Although extra precautions must be taken when using a polyester rope in rescue systems, there are also many benefits when used in the correct application. (Never use Talon rope as the belay rope.)

 

1. Polyester retains a high tensile strength even when wet.

2. Slightly more resistant than nylon to most acids.

3. Melting point is about 4800.

4. Highly abrasion resistant.
